THE HEART OF THE PHILIPPINES

The Villa sa Aplaya’a Beach Resort is found in the island province of MARINDUQUE which is also known as the heart of the Philippines, being shaped like a heart and located at the center of the archipelago. According to statistics provided by the Philippine National Police, the island province is one of the most peaceful provinces in the country today. And by winning in the “Clean and Green Project” of the President, years in a row, it has also earned the reputation as one of the cleanest provinces in the country. With an area of approximately 960 square kilometers and a population of about 20,000 Marinduqueños, the island province is some 100 nautical miles southeast of Metro Manila. The nearest point by sea travel is from DALAHICAN Port of LUCENA CITY, which is barely three (3) hours trip via Montenegro Shipping Roll-in Roll-out (RORO), and disembarks at BALANACAN Port, Mogpog, Marinduque.

THE HAVEN

The Villa sa Aplaya’a Beach Resort formerly known as “Villa Carlos” Resort started under its new name and under new management in 2007. Renovations were made to provide a distinctive atmosphere designed to promote tranquility and comfort during your stay at the resort. Also, more rooms were built and improved, designed to provide supreme relaxation with balconies overlooking the sea. The Resort standing along the IHATUB beach front is a famous spot to watch the sunset and a perfect venue for star gazing. You can also see the lamps of fishermen at work during the night. And in the morning, the sight of people waiting for the fishing boats to come ashore to buy their fresh catch will draw your attention. The approximately 9,150 square foot resort has eleven (11) fully air-conditioned rooms with 21-inch cable tv, water heater and refrigerator. It is equipped with function rooms such as the Conference Room with a capacity of 25 persons outfitted with laptop, LCD projector, and projector screen; the Badminton Court which was erected to accommodate local badminton enthusiasts and guests looking for a good sweat after a days work; and the Pavilion surrounded with Nipa huts ideal for small events and dining. A 24-hour room service with on-call masseurs and laundry service is also made available. It has an employ of attentive and well-experienced crew trained to make your stay safe, relaxing and enjoyable.

HOW TO GET TO THE LUXURIOUS HAVEN

The most popular and economical way to get to the Resort from Manila is by bus. There are a number of reliable bus companies that ply the Manila-Dalahican Port route. Customarily, regular travelers of the province take the JAC LINER buses stationed along EDSA corner KAMIAS road in Quezon City. These buses are carried across the island through MONTENEGRO SHIPPING’S RORO, saving the passengers from the worries and hustles of carrying their luggage and this bus liner will deposit you directly into the doorsteps of the luxurious haven by the sea, The Villa sa Aplaya’a Beach Resort.             Chartered vehicles can also be arranged for you by the Resort management which can take you from any point in Metro Manila to Marinduque and back.

FEAST FOR THE SENSES

A Holy week spent in the island province is an experience worth all the hustles of queuing for a seat at bus terminals or squabbling for a spot at the ship’s vehicle deck. Foreign and local tourists plague the island to have a glimpse of one of the country’s celebrated festivity.
